Second Chance-Last Opportunity Makes it Easy to Make a Difference
Organization looks forward to annual ’Share The Light’ Fundraiser

Sarasota, FL (August 7, 2007) – As with other non-profit organizations, raising operational funds is a constant challenge that Second Chance-Last Opportunity (SCLO) has approached enthusiastically and creatively for over 12 years.

This grass-roots organization is pleased to be hosting its 11th annual ‘Share The Light’ Luncheon on Thursday, September 27th, 2007 at Michael’s on East and honoring Doris Glick and Tom Siegal. The keynote speaker is Lynn McDonald who is an experienced and nationally known motivational speaker and author. She is adept at helping people make good choices, something that is at the heart of Second Chance’s mission and so the presentation promises to be fun, interactive, and meaningful.

Individual tickets are $50, patron tickets are $75. Lunch at Michael’s, a variety of silent auction items and raffles, testimonials from SCLO clients, Lynn McDonald’s uplifting talk, Cliff Roles generously acting as Master of Ceremonies, and an eclectic mix of guests add up to an unusual and inspiring event not to be missed. Guests will come away seeing what a privilege it is to support such a unique and effective organization as Second Chance and what an important part our two honorees have played. Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses that would like to benefit from this high profile event while giving back to the community.

Second Chance-Last Opportunity (SCLO) is a 501 © 3 tax exempt organization whose mission is to teach life management skills to at-risk teens, teen mothers, homeless and low income families in our community who often face multiple health, social and economic challenges.

The philosophy at Second Chance-Last Opportunity is to provide a hand up, not a hand out. The non-profit agency holds the view that in order to make a permanent change, the disadvantaged in our community must be given the opportunity to learn to be self-sufficient. SCLO provides them with the tools, guidance, and the opportunity they need to make a better life for themselves and their families.
