We recognize that many of our residents are isolated with little access to the services that can help them with their emotional and behavioral issues in order to live a balanced and rewarding life. We therefore offer short term counseling, crisis intervention, community outreach and social work services as a means of responding to the full range of our clients’ counseling needs.

We aim to foster an environment that promotes accessible and affordable counseling that is person-centered and creates an atmosphere of trust, respect, encouragement and integration.

Counseling Services

Our supportive and confidential counseling is highly personalized and aims to identify obstacles and change patterns that keep our clients from having the life they want. We work with individuals, couples, and families and specialize in

  • Depression and Anxiety
  • Stress Management
  • Addiction and Recovery
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Parenting Support
  • Grief Counseling
  • Family Conflict
  • Coping With Loss

How Much Does It Cost?

Second Chance-Last Opportunity provides affordable counseling to those of low income who would otherwise not be able to avail themselves of counseling. The client and counselor will agree to a weekly fee that can be afforded by the client. No person will be denied counseling because of lack of finances.

$20,000 Donation Challenge

After learning about the hunger that is rapidly growing in our community, an anonymous donor has started a matching-donation campaign to raise funds. The goal is $20,000 to be raised (and matched) in 10 days. These badly needed funds will be used to purchase groceries, personal care items and new-baby needs that we will distribute at our building, 1933 Dr. Martin L. King Jr. Way, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12 noon.

Thank you for spreading love in the form of support for those in need in these challenging times.
