SCLO is always looking for individuals and groups to help us improve the lives of at-risk teens, families, and individuals. Your time is valuable and there are many ways you can help; whether on an ad hoc basis at one of our special community events or in an ongoing capacity on a committee or in the office, we have volunteer programs to fit your schedule.

Saturday, July 24 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Health Fair at SCLO.
Volunteer needs: setting up and breaking down and inviting people to attend. 3 tents needed.
Saturday, July 24 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
Backpacks Giveaway (filled with school supplies).
Volunteer needs: Requesting 300 backpacks, school supplies, personal hygiene items, and gift cards (Walmart, Target, and Burlington) for school clothing and shoes. Grades K to 12.
Saturday, August 7 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm
✈️Taste Around the World. Countries – INDIA, GERMANY, NIGERIA, MEXICO, ITALY
Volunteer needs: setting up and breaking down, volunteers to decorate and host each country’s tent, invite people to attend, trolley for parking, DJ and entertainment, light refreshments from each country. Needed: 5 cases of water and 3 tents.
Saturday, August 28th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
🎼Gospel Music Festival at SCLO
Singers and choirs are welcome. Vendor Spaces are available. Call 941-360-8660.
Volunteer needs: setting up and breaking down, invite people to attend, serve refreshments. Needed: 10 cases of water, 75 chairs, and 2 tents.

💜Creative Expression Award
SCLO will recognize the businesses, restaurants, and individuals who supported us during the pandemic in 2020/2021. MANY provided donations of pizza, hot food, etc. Tickets, $25 per person. SCLO website will display this event by June 30 for ticket purchase.

Volunteer needs: Setup and breakdown, donate gift baskets for purchase, assist with event sponsorships. Invite businesses, corporations, and individuals to become table sponsors.
Thanksgiving meals for families and individuals. Food baskets and hot meals.
Volunteer needs: setup and breakdown, contribute turkeys, turkey trimmings (gravy, rice, cranberry sauce, mac n cheese, rolls and dessert), drinks, and gifts cards. Monetary donations are always welcome.
Christmas for children, families, and seniors. Contribute gifts (newborn to 15 years old, and seniors), gifts cards, groceries, and 250 white laundry baskets.
